Re: If your servers are down, does my slideshow fail? - 12 years ago
I'm very concerned that the domain key function is a fail point; in some years, businesses on your end could change and servers be taken off line, and then slideshows that worked for years stop working! What assurance do I have that these slideshows won't ever fail, if they require some external website verification that I have no control over?by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
If your servers are down, does my slideshow fail? - 12 years ago
Hi, I’ve bought a 5-site license and am using it now. Before I commit to setting up more sites using SlideshowBox, I’d like to know more about the functionality of the slideshow if JumpeyeComponents were to stop running their webservers, which apparently would negate the domain key verification. That is to say, is the functioning of the slideshow tied directly to the availability of Juby user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
What template will display my photo in its original size? - 12 years ago
I want to use a SSB JS gallery to display my photos in their original, uncropped and unresized state. How can I do this? I can't seem to find a presentation that doesn't crop my images somewhat, when not viewed in full-screen mode. If I'm feeding various image sizes into my slideshow, I don't understand how the differences in the image size/proportions are going to be handled by SSB. Can you pby user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Photos are being cropped by SlideshowBox :( - 12 years ago
I've prepped photos to use with the ThumbnailSlide template, and am very disappointed to see that they are being cropped in the embedded slideshow. Only when I go to full screen does it not crop my images. This is unacceptable -- I need a slideshow where my ORIGINAL UNCROPPED images are presented. Got any ideas what to do?by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
"previous" and "next" still shows when there are none... - 12 years ago
Using the ThumbnailSlide template, I notice that the Previous and Next controls still show even when there aren't enough thumbnails to require those controls. That's a pretty serious user interface problem -- users will click on that but nothing will happen.by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Re: Better step-by-step needed - 12 years ago
I suggest you hire a professional technical writer to write some decent documentation, because what you've provided so far is lousy.by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
What format should the domain be entered? - 12 years ago
In your domain configuration panel, where I am to enter the domains of the sites I'll use SSB on, what format should I use? E.g. or or or slideshowbox.com or what? If it's not entered correctly, will I be warned? How will I know if that's where the failure point is?by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Troubleshooting Document MISSING - 12 years ago
You need to develop a Troubleshooting document, so that when embedding a slideshow doesn't work, as in my case, I can consult a checklist of common problems. For $149 I expected decent documentation and a detaled Knowledgebase -- instead, your "KB" merely links to this pathetic forum. Get real, SmartketerLLC!by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Re: More documentation needed - no KB article - 12 years ago
I got as far as getting the embed code and pasting it into my HTML document, but that's not enough to make the slideshow function. Your document, Javascript Embed - How To Use is insufficient, as is . You don't clearly describe what to do with the contents of Templates > (template name) > Embed_(type)by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Browser crash from your sample.html file - 12 years ago
I bought SlideshowBox 2 today, 2011-06-14. Inside the package folder, in the following location: HTML embed > Templates > ThumbnailSlide > Embed_Auto-detect, you have the file sample.html. When I load this in my Safari browser (locally), it cause a "crash" -- Safari won't respond to any further actions. I can't close the window, or the tab, or switch windows or tabs. Best way to organize multiple slideshows on a website? - 12 years ago
I am making a website for an architect, where I need to have 1 slideshow per page, for each built project. What is the most efficient way to set up my Javascript for this purpose? I'm using the same slideshow template for each project, just changing the images and descriptions in the slideshow. I want to avoid having to duplicate code on the website. Suggestions?by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Better step-by-step needed - 12 years ago
Now that I've purchased SlideshowPro 2, I'm seeing that the documentation for this is really poor, and that there is not a clear path that describes how to implement a slideshow. This is much harder to use than I expected. I'm disappointed.by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2

"Image index"? - 12 years ago
In the Online Panel for Thumbnail Slide Transparent Background, there's a function "ShowImageIndex" -- however, the tool tip does not give a clear explanation of what the index is.by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
Show description and thumbnails but not ON the photo! - 12 years ago
I can't believe that you don't have a slideshow that simply places the thumbnails at the bottom and the title/description at the top, but not on top of the actual photo. I don't want anything obscuring the main photos, and I don't want to require a mouse-movement to show/hide functionality. The slideshow have the option, or the default behavior, to always show the thumbs and text with the imaby user792151 - Suggest a slideshow
More documentation needed - no KB article - 12 years ago
There is no Knowledge Base article for SlideshowBox 2 (as of today, 2011-06-14). Please rectify. Is there a way to save my template settings? What does SlideshowBox do when I give it both portrait and landscape orientated photos? What happens when I have photos smaller than my slideshow size, in pixel dimensions?by user792151 - SlideshowBox 2
