Unable to view slideshow on an iPod
September 15, 2010 12:43AM
Hi. I am not able to view a slideshow on an iPod Touch, however it can be viewed on an iPad. Is there are reason for this?

Could you please give us the link from where you have the slideshow?

We tested the link you gave us on Ipod touch first generation and it worked. Maybe the OS is different, we test in on 3.1.3.

I am using OS 4.1 on the fourth generation Ipod Touch. I am having the same problem when I try to view on your website a sample javascript slideshow. The web page with the slideshow tries to load, but before it can, you get kicked out of Safari back to the home screen. I assume when iPad is updated with OS 4.2 all slideshows will now not run in any Apple mobile device

Will you be testing the javascript slideshows, using Apple iOS 4.0+, to see why they cannot run?

We test the javascript slideshows and you were right, unfortunately there was a problem but now we fix it and it should work properly also on IOS 4. Please re-download the package and see if now works properly.

Hi. I tested my slideshow with the updated javascripts.
The slideshows now are able to load using iOS4.1. on the fourth gen ipod touch.
However the one issue I am seeing now is that the slideshow
is not automatically running when autoSlideShow:"true" is set.
I need to click or tap a thumbnail to trigger it.
I tried it both on the ipod touch and a pc and get the same result.
Here is the link to my slideshow

We know about this issue, and we already fix it, but we didn't update the component with the fix version. We hope that next week the new update to be available, if everything goes as planned. Anyway, if you need the version urgently, I recommend to open a ticket and write to us and we will try to send you the new update.
